1What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and device tokens. This policy explains which ones Next Matter Pro Academy uses and how you can control them.
2Cookies We Set
| Name | Purpose | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID | Keeps you logged in, remembers your session and security token, and shows one-time messages such as "Logged in successfully" | Strictly necessary | Until you close your browser or log out |
This cookie is needed for the portal to work, so it does not require consent. Blocking it prevents you from logging in. We do not use analytics cookies on the portal.
Saved in your browser. A few settings are saved in your browser's local storage so the portal remembers them on your next visit. They stay on your device and are not sent to us.
| Name | Purpose | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
nmp-pdf-page:… | Remembers the page you were on in a course PDF | Functional | Until you clear your browser data |
nmpIntakeWins | Remembers where you placed and sized the windows on the intake desk | Functional | Until you clear your browser data |
3Third-Party Cookies
| Provider | Where | Purpose | More information |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google AdSense | Public portal pages, such as the login and registration page | Showing ads, limiting how often you see the same ad, detecting ad fraud, and, where allowed, showing ads based on your interests | How Google uses cookies in advertising |
| 8x8 (Jitsi as a Service) | Only on the live class page, inside the video window | Running the video call and remembering your audio and video settings | 8x8 privacy policy |
These cookies are set by the providers, not by us, and their use is governed by the providers' own policies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar tracking tools on the portal.
4The Android App
The Next Matter Pro Academy Android app does not use browser cookies. It stores a push-notification token from Google Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send you notifications. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings at any time.
5Your Choices
- Ad personalization: turn off personalized ads from Google in Google My Ad Center. You will still see ads, but they will not be based on your interests.
- Browser settings: most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies, and block third-party cookies only. Blocking third-party cookies stops Google ad cookies without affecting your login.
- Consent: where the law requires consent for advertising cookies, we will ask for it before they are used.
6Changes to This Policy
If we add or change cookies, we will update this policy and its "Last updated" date.
